Richard Aufrichtig (b. 1989) is a multi-disciplinary artist and healer who hails from the Hudson River Valley. His work focuses on the creation of intimate spaces and experiences that serve as containers for personal transformation and growth. A lifelong artistic omnivore, he has slowly been making a name for himself in a number of artistic fields. As a musician, he has self-released over a dozen albums in the past ten years. His plays have been performed in full production at the Red Cloud Opera House and at New York University. His first book of poetry, Telegrams, was released in June of 2014 by the Vancouver-based Tenderpress. A graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, he holds a BFA in the creation of original and collaborative work for the stage. In 2014, he took part in the Sitka Fellows Program - a seven week residency program dedicating to providing incubatory space for "the most promising emerging talent under the age of 30". His work has been described as "blurring the lines between music, poetry and theater" (KCAW Radio).
